Hackley Public Library

Muskegon, Michigan

  • Materials
    Glazed porcelain tiles.

    Project Description
Book spine tiles were created to display names of donors for the restoration of the library. Tile designs were inspired by architectural details in the original library. Tiles were installed to replicate the look of books displayed on a shelf. The tile designs were used to represent five levels of donations. The oak frame/faux shelving was constructed from repurposed trim originally located in another section of the library.
